It's impossible to completely hide your tracks online, but there are some basic steps you can take. On this page you can find links to useful guides containing hints and tips for covering your movements online.

Our site includes a "Leave site quickly" button on every page. This takes you straight to the BBC homepage. However it does not clear your browser's 'history' or 'cache'.

If you really want to be sure that no one in your home finds out that you have been visiting this website, your best option may be to use a completely different computer, such as one at your local library or internet cafe.
